Sinema Old School

Two nights ago, I went to watch the screening of my brother Wesley's experimental short film - Love Me Yesterday, at Sinema Old School.
And I must say, I'm very impressed with the place.
The building, clean and white and old school looking, used to be a church (I think). Now the grounds is a haven for arts, design and film. There's a cinema for independant local films, studios, a shop for all your local film and music memorabilia and DVDs.
The theatre itself is fantastic. The atmosphere inside is not stuffy and uptight as with most artsy places... it feels comfortable yet exclusive at the same time. And the red leather sofas are great ... especially after years of sitting on The Substation's rock hard and no-leg-room seats.Check out http://www.sinema.sg/ to find out more about the place. It used to be a secondary school. It's really a pretty nice and quite place.
