Today I am reviewing 3 products I recently tried out and think are great products. They are the Nails Inc Magnetic Polish, DHC Moisture Fruit Skincare range and Bio Oil.
Nails Inc Magnetic Polish (SGD 21.90 each)
This is available at Watson's "My Vanity Box" collection ... which is a chic beauty shelf at selected Watson's stores - Ngee Ann City, Bugis Junction, Jurong Point, IMM, Holland V, Changi City Point and 112 Katong Mall.
They come in 3 shades named after London's attractions- Houses of Parliament (metallic purple shade), Trafalgar Square (metallic chrome shade) and Whitehall (metallic teal).
I have Trafalgar Square and Houses of Parliament... but I think the teal shade would be lovely too... I must try that soon!
Using the magnetic polish is simple. There's a special bit of the cap which you can pull out. This is the magnet.
Put a light first coat on, then your second coat, make it a thick one.
Do the second coat one finger at a time, as you need to use the magnet on each finger BEFORE the second coat on it dries.
After 10 seconds of holding the magnet bit close to your nail, ta dahhh! A magnetic wave type design is achieved. This nail polish dries fast too (took about 1 min max for it to be touch dry), so you don't have to wait forever.

DHC Moisture Fruit Skincare
DHC is Japan's no.1 direct mail skincare brand... and it has launched its newest range at Watson's in Singapore. Prices are between SGD19.90 to SGD23.90.
I am a sucker for soft pink hues. I have to say I picked this product up because of the fresh pink look it has!
Apart from the pretty packaging, this range is free of parabens, synthetic fragrances and artificial colourings. You only get the good fresh stuff because it is made of fruit extracts (kiwi, grapefruit, apple, etc) and natural essential oils which has superior hydrating effects.
DHC Moisture Fruit Foaming Wash
I looove the smell of this range... so fresh and fruity. This face wash foams automatically. Just press the pump! :) No tight feeling after washing. Face feels clean. I use this cleanser in the mornings but I use a make up removing one in the evening. Face feels great after washing in the morning.
DHC Moisture Fruit Lotion
I moisten a cotton pad with this lotion and gently wipe my face after cleansing. I prefer using a cotton pad rather than just splashing my face with toner/lotion, because I feel that a cotton pad helps remove any residue left behind from cleansing, and helps to gently exfoliate pores too (which is important because I hardly use scrubs!)
DHC Moisture Fruit Gel Cream
This gel cream is very moisturising. Makes my skin feel supple and gives it a long lasting natural glow. I like! Only gripe is that this is a bit pricey compared to the other 2 products which come in 100ml bottles... the gel cream is $23.90 for a small tub (35g). Good thing is, you don't need a lot of it (only about 1cm) to moisturise the whole face.
So pretty pink!!!

Bio Oil
Bio-Oil is a specialist skincare oil that helps improve the appearance of scars, stretch marks and uneven skin tone. It's available at pharmacies or Watsons at $15.50 (60ml).
It is formualted with PurCellin Oil , vitamins A & E, natural plant oils –Lavender, Calendula, Rosemary and Chamomile.
My brother has tried it before on a small keloid scar on his chest, and it didn't work on keloids. :(
I tried it on some bothersome spider veins on my right thigh, epecting it not to work either... but to my surprise, after a couple of applications, the spider veins became a lot more faint.
Yay! It did work. I have to say however, you need to be religious with the application. Daily, or twice a day if you can... and in a week you should see great results (on spider veins... not sure about other scars as I don't have any other scars to try it on)
So here's the results after 1 week of daily application of bio oil. That patch of spider veins is not gone completely but it's much less noticeable on my leg now.
It's supposed to be good at evening out skin tone and diminishing acne scars too. I think this is a great buy, not expensive and it works on me so far :)
