UrbanChicStyles is an online store that caters to both men and women. Their outfits are trendy, stylish and affordable. Local postage is free in Singapore and they do ship overseas at a low cost too.
Let's have a look at some different scenarios I created to see which outfits I picked :)
If you have a fun and active day in store... for instance a day out at Universal Studios Singapore, you'll want to dress down in comfy clothes but still good. I love the Rainbow Paddlepop Top for girls because it's oh so sweet.... the colours are soft and will go great with denim shorts or skinny jeans. Always be prepared with a chic little hair tie like the blue ribbon hair tie... so practical to keep your hair in a styllish ponytail.
For guys, dressing down doesn't mean dressing sloppy ok! Ditch the baggy old cargo shorts you've had for freaking ages. Opt for a more tailored look with the Tailored Coral Shorts. These type of shorts go with everything! In this picture, he's wearing it with the Baby Cig Tee.
What about stuff that you can wear to the office and still head out to dinner and drinks after work? I love the Pearly Tweed Dress because the tweed material, colour and check design is very work appropriate. But embelishments like the pearl neckline makes this dress fancy enough for the evening.
Peplums are a fantastic cut for the office and this Peplum Dress in a lovely Mustard colour is bound to perk up your work day. If you're looking to mix it up a bit, try coloured leggings underneath!
I've been to so many weddings recently, whatever you do... do not wear a white dress unless you're the bride! Play with colours! There are lovely hues to match different venues. I would wear the Chiffon Swing Dress in pastel green for a church wedding. It's almost knee length, and the material is romantic and flowy. I love the gentle contrast of colour with the beige pleats in the middle.
For a garden wedding setting, you would get away with a mini length dress. This dress is suitable for lunch events too. The design of this Perrie Print Dress is spring inspired and perfect for a garden wedding. If it's a wedding dinner that you're invited to, opt for something more formal. It does not have to be a long gown to make you look elegant. The Little Black Toga Dress has such a beautiful sheer chiffon overlay. It is gives the dress a good flow and an interesting asymmetry.

This is my latest favourite piece from UrbanChicStyles. It's the Luxe Diamond Top.
I love that it's long sleevedand slightly cropped ( not too midriff baring). I like that it has simple details like the stripes on the sleeves and the huge diamond print is cute! Goes with shorts and jeans for casual days and makes a big change from just wearing boring tank tops or t-shirts all the time. It's very comfy to wear as this top is made from light material, great for the Singapore heat.
It's a cute preppy addition to my casual wear must haves.Let's have a look at some different scenarios I created to see which outfits I picked :)
Girls, if you're going on a date, check out the Aztec Dress . The aztec graphic print is hot right now and the black colour blocking on the sides of this dress will make you appear slimmer and taller. For a guy, instead of a t-shirt, sharpen the look and still remain comfy by opting for a polo tshirt. What's great about this Mini Collar Polo Tee is the unique collar which is smaller then usual. I also love how the mustard trim on the collar and sleeves add great accents to this green top. If you're heading somewhere fancier, you might want to swap to a smart dark pair of jeans or khaki trousers.
Check out the whole Men's range for more polo t shirts and shorts.

Hi HJ, how come you don't ever seem to wear high waist or even mid waist shorts. They're pretty trendy and flattering leh i think:)
ReplyDeleteI wear high waisted skirts... But not shorts. Looks nice from front I think cos waist looks smaller. But for me the back view sucks makes butt look flat. Noticed this on other girls too but somehow it's worse on me. Maybe own worst critic but yeah... That's why :)
