I just got the new eyeshadows from Bobbi Brown. The collection has 24 new shades in matte, metallic, sparkle and shimmer formulas.
P/S- Bobbi Brown is holding a series of eye makeup workshops from 19-21, and 25-29 September at Tangs. The workshops are about choosing the right colors that can complement your skin tone, and to achieve one of 3 looks: Fresh Modern, Korean-style Angelic Eyes, and special techniques for Single Eyelids. Here are the 6 colours I have in my palette. Each colour is sold individually in a fliptop compact type case, but you can also choose to pop them into a palette like I have.
Swatches of my 6 shades. Bone, Banana and Cement are matte. Midnight is a metallic dark blue black colour. Black Chocolate and Mica are Sparkle eyeshadows.
Will show you the eyeshadows on my eyes... I also used the Long Wear Gel Eyeliner (espresso Ink 7)... good staying power, and doesn't smudge into a mess. I drew two lines with this eyeliner. The top one, I rubbed with my finger quite vigorously, and it did lighten but didn't get smudgy looking.
...and Extreme Party Mascara (Black Chocolate). This Mascara is ok, not clumpy.. but I find it rather light for a night out, so I would rather use this one for day wear instead.
Here are my eyelids with Bone on my brow bone area, Banana on my eyelids, Midnight on the outer lids, and Black Chocolate above the midnight and into the crease. The darker colours have quite a bit of fall out as I was applying them to my eyelids (so maybe put less on your brush, or put an excess of lose powder around the under eye area so you can sweep off the fall out easily). The colours blend easily (and my eye shadow skills are very basic only). The result is a pretty nice smokey eye look. Love it.P/S- Bobbi Brown is holding a series of eye makeup workshops from 19-21, and 25-29 September at Tangs.
