Mother's Day is coming real soon.... on Sunday, May 11, 2014.
DIY Jars
Actually Twinings sells these huge ass jars filled with like 70 tea bags (in the UK, not sure if Singapore has it like that or not). But you can easily DIY this. You can get large jars from Ikea. Fill them with mum's favourite things, not necessarily tea. It can look so attractive and colourful. A very thoughtful gift.
:)
Ok, Happy Mother's Day to all the mummies out there. The hand that rocks the cradle is the hand that rules the world. This is your day.
If you're looking to get something for you mother, mother in law, or a mother figure... here are some affordable, practical and thoughtful ideas. Don't buy bouquet of flowers lah! Such a waste of money. (If you really want to give her flowers, then buy from the market and make it pretty- Click here for details on flower choices)
Rice Bran is known to have many beauty benefits. You can get rice bran products for yourself or as a gift to mum to experience the beauty of rice bran at home! I get it from Branspa, their products are proven to shown results and are free from harmful chemicals.
There's a special Mother's Day gift pack (a complete relaxation set) at $58. Their hair spa set is nice and pampering too. I also love their insect repellent ($13) and hand sanitizer ($6).
You can view the full range at: www.branspa.blogspot.com
To order, email: alijan.st@gmail.com or Sms 9452 0326
Does you mum love cooking? Let me plug my Mum's curry powders. Chicken, Vindalu, Mulligatawny (this is a yummy spicy broth with shredded chicken), Feng (my fav!), and even crab curry. It costs $6.50 for a 200g packet of curry powder. I think she makes awesome pickles too. She's been doing this for more than a couple of decades now, and she took over this trade from her parents who were doing it like foreverrrrr. SMS or call my mum at 96407769 if you want to order, just mention you got her number from my blog. (Pick up is from Pasir ris)
